Welcome
Cheryl Kish (formerly UglyHorse Yoga) is based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She holds an E-RYT 200 and RYT 500, with over 1,000 hours of teaching experience. Cheryl has her lashing certification, and is just finishing a somatic healing certification.
UglyHorse Yoga was inspired by Cheryl’s Hungarian grandfather’s nickname, “Chunya Lo”—meaning Ugly Horse. This playful yet meaningful name reflected the authenticity, humility, and humanity at the heart of her teaching.
As of 2026, UglyHorse Yoga has evolved into Cheryl Kish. Yes - You can still call me UglyHorse! Cheryl Kish offers yoga instruction for the public and privately in her home studio. She also offers massage, somatic healing practices, and soon will be taking lashing clients again!
Cheryl has been teaching yoga since 2016, completing her initial training with Karma Teachers and Kevin Naidoo at Yerama in Saskatoon. Her teaching is rooted in accessibility, self-inquiry, and compassionate presence, supporting students in connecting mind, body, and spirit. Cheryl Kish embraces growth, resilience, and community.

With each breath, we soften into the places where resistance lives.
Every asana (posture) is an offering — a preparation for stillness. In stillness, we meet ourselves. In movement, we learn to listen.
Open your temple — your body — to all that it can be. This is the practice.
